Center console boats are all the rage these days. Actually, center console boats have grown increasingly popular over the last 10 years, and in my area of central Florida, they are everywhere.
And for good reason! Center console boats are great for fishing, cruising, and general boating.
In this article, I’m going to cover 10 must-have center console boat accessories.

E-SeaRider Teardrop Marine Beanbag
When you need extra places to sit for guests, the E-SeaRider Teardrop marine beanbag is the only option you need to consider. It is the perfect portable seating arrangement to watch sunsets on your center console boat, or anywhere that needs an additional seat.
Compared to other seating arrangements, this one takes the cake on quality and price. They are also great for fishing, cruising, or gifts for anyone.
These beanbags are designed to withstand water on your center console boat and are perfect gifts for patios, docks, or anywhere that has water. It also weighs just under 11 pounds, making it a lightweight addition to your center console boat.
Throw them on the boat, take them off, hit them with the hose, rinse and repeat. There is a reason why these things sell out almost every summer. They’re awesome!
Toadfish Non-Tipping Suction Cup
If you are tired of knocking drinks over, or do not have the extra room to put one down on your center console boat, you need extra space. Luckily, Toadfish has you covered with their non-tipping suction cup.
This holder can be placed anywhere on the boat, without the risk of knocking it over and spilling everywhere. It is also appealing for any boat owner that does not want to drill holes for stationary cup holders.
As a gift, it can be used anywhere your recipient could possibly imagine such as coolers, cars, and coffee tables. Every purchase also helps clean coastal waters, so you feel good about your contribution to their products.
Taco Marine Universal Cleat
Universal cleats are some of the best accessories anyone could want on a boat. Taco Marine cleats are necessary for adding another angle to your boat when tying off.
This allows you to place them on your boat in rod holders without drilling unnecessary holes. I appreciate the simplicity without causing harm to my boat, whereas other brands might require you to drill new holes.
When not in use, simply use your rod holder for fishing. These have proven to be quite handy and make for great gifts for any style of boat.
Spot X Emergency Locator
Spot technology has developed a reliable way to contact others in the need of an emergency. When out on the water, in areas with unreliable cell phone coverage, you need a way to contact for help (yes I’m talking to you hardcore offshore anglers!)
I would not leave home without having some way to connect to others in the event of an emergency. Cell phones only go so far as for signal, so Spot X is a great backup compared to other brands on the market.
It also includes a way to track your activities with an app on your phone. Whether you want to remember where you caught that giant grouper or allow loved ones to track your boating adventure Spot X technology is the answer.
Nilight LED Light Bar
Early morning fishing or late evening cruises in your center console boat means you will be in dark environments. I have been in many situations on the water that needed extra light and was glad that I had it.
For safety, you want people to see you, as well as see what is in front of you. Thanks to Nilight light bars, you can achieve superior quality in LED lights and depend on them when you need them most.
The Nilight LED light bar has proven to be one of the best light bars for marine boating. Mount it on your T-top, backrest, or even in large storage compartments for extra lighting with the flip of a switch.
INNOCEDEAR Dock Lines
You will need multiple lines to tie off the bow, stern, and potentially another line on the port or starboard side if needed. So what about adding a few dock lines to your gear?
INNOCEDEAR has some of the best dock lines I have seen. They happen to be very convenient in their lightweight and storage space capacity, as well as strength and stability when you need them most.
These lines are double braided for strength, they use military-grade nylon, along with damage-resistant fibers. They have up to 6,490 pounds of breaking strength, meaning several of them together can safely hold onto your center console boat.
And remember, they are ‘lines’ on a boat…not ropes!
Dry Bags
You need a spot to store important items without getting them wet. You also need them to float if you accidentally lose them in the water.
With a dry bag, you can store your favorite items without the risk of them getting wet or sinking. Most other dry bags will sink once they hit the water, so I personally love this option to keep my essentials secure and dry.
If you love to island hop and hit the sandbars…a quality dry bag is a must for getting on and off the boat.
For those that do not have center console boats, it is an excellent gift for the family that enjoys kayaking or does anything near water. In addition, they can be used while hiking or camping.
HoldPeak Anemometer
An anemometer helps measure wind speed and a few other important pieces of information. This is crucial for days at sea or cruising along coastal waters.
The HoldPeak anemometer helps determine your location’s wind speed, temperature, and wind chill to provide up-to-date information about potential storms and oncoming weather.
With this information, use it to help find the perfect environment for fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, or other recreational activities on the water.
Kids love these. Make them feel like part of the crew with this handheld and easy-to-use device.
Inflatable Life Jacket
Let’s face it, life jackets are bulky and sometimes uncomfortable when worn for long periods of time. However, they are necessary for keeping your head above water in dire circumstances.
With inflatable life jackets, you can wear them and essentially forget you have one on. They inflate within three to five seconds upon release.
For those that hate wearing life jackets, I would recommend trying these out…they are a world of difference compared to traditional bulky life jackets. They have automatic and manual pull inflation, so simply choose which one works best for you.
WindRider Safety Kit
In addition to having a life jacket, you need other essentials to stay safe on the water. Coast Guard regulations can take a lot of time to read and understand, so why not have a USCG-approved safety kit with everything you need?
The WindRider kit includes:
- Universal multi-tool
- Whistle
- Electronic flare (with batteries)
- First aid kit (including scissors)
- SOS flag
- Protective case (that floats)
When it comes to safety on the water, don’t cut corners. Always practice safe boating and be prepared should an emergency arise.
Final Thoughts
You already know that center console boats are family-friendly, great for fishing, and have excellent storage capabilities. But why the extra stuff?
It’s simple: To make your life easier along with the people you brought with you. Enjoy your time on the water by staying comfortable and safe.
